Get a priceNot if you decide not to go ahead. If you do go ahead, the time it took to quote is part of the job price, so there’s nothing extra to find on the invoice later. For smaller jobs a photo and a phone call are often enough for us to give you a number. Bigger jobs need a look first.
There’s a minimum charge of $200, GST in, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. It covers getting a qualified electrician, a van and the paperwork to your door before any work starts. Most small jobs come in above it anyway. The quote costs you nothing if you decide not to go ahead.
Because two of us came, and it’s on the quote before we start. Usually that’s a qualified electrician with an apprentice. It’s safer on some jobs, like board work, and an apprentice costs you less than a second qualified electrician would. If it’s going to be two people, you’ll know before the day.
Where the law requires one, yes. We email it to you as a PDF once the job is signed off, so it isn’t something you have to chase. Keep it with your house papers: your lawyer will ask for it when you sell, and your insurer might ask before that. All our work is guaranteed for 12 months.
